Every student is a unique and diverse talented individual that brings their knowledge and experiences into the classroom. Every student learns and develops in different ways, that is what makes them all so different. Our school serves 595 students from PK-5. Two out of three students speak a language other than English as their first language and most students have limited English proficiency and require specially designed content instruction. More than half of the population at our school is low income. This fall I will be working with students that are very diverse in cultural background and language. Many of them will be in school for the first time. I haven't meet my students yet but from my experience I know these students will be passionate and eager to learn .
