I want my students to know that my classroom and school can be and should be a place where they thrive, where they feel included, and where they feel safe. The books, school supplies, and flexible seats will benefit all my students and they will allow our class community to learn and grow together even more. As a dual language teacher, most of my students come from bilingual Hispanic households or households that want to opt-in so that their children can learn Spanish. The materials in the project will help me bridge content so that my students can learn more and also relate to the same identities that shape who they are inside and outside our classroom.
