The purpose of my Seating Matters! Alternative Seating Program is to provide students with ergonomic and movement opportunities throughout their school day to promote healthy posture and attention levels for improved school performance. Specifically, the various ball chairs I have asked for will promote improved, upright posture, as well as provide students with a flexible seating option to allow for gentle movement while focusing on structured lessons. The leg swing and bouncy leg fidgets will provide students who constantly tap their feet with an outlet to fidget without being distracting to others. This has been an effective tool that I have used in the past, and I would like to share it with more students! Finally, Wiggle Seats provide fidgety bottoms with the proprioception needed to improve attention while satisfying the urge to bounce in the chair. These items can be individually tailored to meet all of my students' needs....and can be used for all types of students! Your generous donation will assist my students in improving school success for years to come. Thank you for taking a look at my page and learning about the importance of proper ergonomics in the classroom setting. I hope the success of this small-scale project will one day afford me the opportunity to educate my district on the importance of alternative seating options for everyone to produce happy, healthy, focused students (and even teachers!)
