Last year, my teaching assistant Carolyn, loved reading to the kids and they loved it every time she did. Carolyn was the most caring, loving, and gentle person I have ever known. She loved nature, caring for animals, and EVERY head start child! She would come in on her sick leave to read to the kids. Carolyn died in May 2018 from cancer. Audio books will help instill the love of reading. They will give my students an opportunity to learn about many things, including animals, character and kindness, Carolyn's passions. I want Carolyn to live on in our classroom.
