These materials will allow my students to start a coffee shop within our school as a class business. The students will be learning how to take orders for coffee, make the coffee and deliver the orders to staff members. Throughout the week we will be collecting orders from staff members for coffee. The students will then be making the coffee or hot chocolate that was ordered and deliver it. The students will also be learning about the value of money through this project as they collect the money for the order and we use that money to buy more inventory. They will also learn to count and keep track of inventory. By donating to this project, you will be helping my students do something they enjoy (meaning full work) and learn great communication skills. This coffee shop will give them the opportunity to build on their communication skills and the ability to learn important employ-ability skills to be a valuable part of their community.
