No one wants to sit behind a desk all day, especially kids! "Classroom flexibility appears to be roughly as important as air quality, light, or temperature in boosting academic outcomes."(Merrill, 2018). Giving students a choice about where to sit allows them to take ownership of their learning and increases engagement. With flexible seating my students will be able to move around and pick their seat during various parts of the day. The products that I have chosen will meet my students many needs and allow them to choose a seat where they can move or remain stationary. My students will be able to choose to wiggle on the KORE wobble chairs at a desk or on the floor with a wobble cushion and portable lap desk. They might also choose to lightly bounce and move on the stability ball chairs or pull up a stool to do their work or collaborate with their peers. A seat that works for them in the morning might not work for them in the afternoon and that's ok, because they will have the freedom to pick a seat that works for them!
