My students are in an engineering program that serves freshmen-seniors. Our school is an inner-city high school and it is made up of an amazing group of students who are the microcosm of our society. These students are bright and determined. Many of them come from impoverished backgrounds and wouldn't have the opportunities they now have without this program. At least 90% of the students in this program are flourishing academically and are well on their way to meeting their requirements for entering a four-year university upon graduation. Not only are they prepared academically, they are also learning how to step straight into a professional and technical career and will have ample opportunities in our ever-changing global economy based on their experiences in this program. They are bright, fun-loving and ambitious.
