My students are high school freshmen and sophomores in a competitive academic school. Our school is relatively small, but is rapidly growing and is located in a historic fishing community in South Carolina. The students in my classes are highly competitive and strive to do their best each and everyday. Most of the students are on track to attend a two or four year college or university upon their graduation. As a science teacher, I must do prepare them to the best of my ability and provide them with the necessary foundation for the advanced science classes and the growing STEM initiatives in schools or all academic levels across the United States.
