Flexible seating empowers students to take charge of their own learning. During independent work times they choose a comforts place to work. Making students comfortable increases time on task. I have noticed amazing differences in my students when they are given a choice in their seating. They make good choices choosing their spot,o are more engaged, and get more work completed than when they are just sitting at their desk. My students are noticeably more engaged in their work and less disruptive of their peers when they are given a choice of where to work. The product I have selected will help my students by giving them another seating option. The wobble stools will fit a desk or table and allow for movement. These will be beneficial for students that need to get wiggles out. They can also be used as an alternative to a chair, if needed. I have seen how choice can positively affect my student’s on task behaviors and engagement. I hope that the opportunity to wiggle while they work will help us grow even more!
