My students need a large rug for use as a community meeting area. Our current classroom rug is more than a decade old with torn edges, stains, and ripped pieces. A brand new green rug will be the perfect place for my students to sit and learn. The tranquil color and soft fabric will be a phenomenal replacement for my current rug. We will use this community seating area to have critical thinking discussions about our daily read-alouds of chapter books. Students will express their ideas and thinking on this beautiful rug. They will become critical thinkers and develop a sense of belonging when sitting on this beautiful calm-colored carpet.
