In my classroom, we like to have fun while we learn. I have kids teaching each other by jigsawing lessons and my students create anchor charts for them to use. In order to do this however, we go through an enormous amount of markers and pencils that would be used to create anchor charts and lessons for our classroom. With these supplies I would be able to have a more interactive lesson as well. We have to do a lot of math problems in my class and to save on paper I like to use dry erase markers so that kids can work a problem, snap a picture, and then erase their work afterwords. That is also where the erasers would come in handy. Finally, we go through tons and tons of pencils and by Christmas usually I am out and going into my own pocket to bring more supplies to school. If the pencils and pencil sharpener Students would not be limited by their low income in order to be successful in school.
