Please help to provide basic art supplies including tempera and water color paints, paint brushes, crayons, glue, glue sticks, a variety of craft and drawing paper, and collage items to my students so that they can continue to learn and create at home during distance learning. Families have not been able to leave their homes, there has been great difficulty finding supplies, and many families do not have the means by which to make purchases. My students benefit from having a variety of supplies on hand in order to participate in visual arts activities through exploration of media - painting, drawing, printmaking, collage and sculpture. In collaboration with classroom teachers, these activities are also aligned to English and language arts topics outlined in our curriculum map. My early childhood preschool and grade 2 learners engage best through hands-on, multi-sensory experiences that are stimulating and exciting to participate in. Providing care bags to replenish basic supplies would make it possible for my students not only to participate for the remainder of the school year, but through our summer program as well!
