With these new books, my dual language students will be able to read a variety of high-interest books that will brighten their days and nurture their love of reading! These books will give my students an added reason to get right into reading and an extra opportunity for deep and meaningful conversations around books that they love! This is the culture that I hope to continue fostering in my classroom with the help of these new books. Nothing can ever replace the wonder of getting lost in a book, thumbing through pages, and hanging on to the author's every word. I grew up in the very same neighborhood as my students, and I know firsthand how important and life-changing a simple book can be. My love of reading helped open up worlds that went way beyond the block I lived on. I would love to offer that same experience to all my students!
