I want to get the book 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens for my students because it has some great tools to get through high school and beyond. My freshmen can use it to build their skills, and because of it's fairly easy to understand format, can be read and understood by my English Learners. My Juniors could also benefit from the added knowledge of goal setting and just how to be a decent person and navigate through life. In life, we tend to figure things out as we go, and this book at least steers them in the right direction. I think that as they read, they can apply this to the day to day struggles they face.
