Technology becomes a useful tool in the classroom when it is used to enhance learning and support instruction. My goal is to provide my students with the resources necessary to survive and thrive in a digital world. My students need 2 Dell Laptops to be able to explore various computer programs and software, from interactive math games to phonics programs that reinforce letter/sound recognition and writing letters. These 2 laptops will also provide my students with access to various educational websites. My students need 2 computer mouses to be able to navigate the computer. Although, my classroom is limited with space, these 2 laptops are a portable way to use technology in various stationary areas in the classroom. Exposure to and the independent exploration of technology will allow my students to gain the digital skills they need to be digitally literate. The materials for this project will revitalize my classroom and give my students the opportunity to explore and grow as 21st century learners.
