I would love to see my students branch out and learn how to BUILD using different materials. There are things that would facilitate learning for so many different learners. The building materials like the Magformers, Tegu Blocks, Bristle Blocks, and so many others would help with our engineering and math activities. The Origami and intricate Coloring pages would help with the creative minds. I'd like to use this as an opportunity for my students to get their mind moving in the morning, as group projects, or possibly even as a cool-down activity for some of my students with emotional/anxiety issues. My goal is for all of these items to be housed in the bins I've asked for and I will be organizing them *hopefully* this summer to be ready for next year. I've already spent several months researching and finding various materials that would best serve our students. There are limitless experiences these students would have with these STEM bins. I want them to use their hands and expand their minds! I would absolutely love to give my students chances to see more than just paper/pencil and computer screens. They need authentic, hands-on experiences!
