The Chromebooks will help my students more successfully access the curriculum in multiple ways. First, technology will help them demonstrate their understanding of the material being presented in class. It provides them the opportunity to fully express themselves where some students have difficulty physically writing. It will also give them the opportunity to work collaboratively, to create multimedia projects as an alternative to the traditional paper and pencil tests and to share their work. Second, technology will help my students who learn through different modalities. For example, Snap & Read can help my students who struggle with reading and comprehension. Last, technology will help my students prepare for their futures. With the many free online resources there are today, they can research possible careers and determine the skills and education required for the positions. With the cornucopia of educational websites that are available today, my students will be happy and thankful. I can incorporate technology to make lessons more relevant and fun. This will allow them to be active participants in their education as opposed to passive learners. Additionally, I can supplement the lessons to make them more innovative and exciting to give the students a deeper understanding.
