These materials will make a difference in my students learning by giving them the tools needed to articulate, emulate, and imitate, respected, award winning authors that reflect their experiences. Students will read independently from the variety of genres - poetry, realistic fiction, fantasy, and graphic novels - and choose their mode and mean to discovering their own writing "voices" through writing workshop. These updated materials will be housed in our classroom library and will be used for independent and buddy reading as well as guided small group reading and writing lessons.
