The majority of students that attend my elementary school come to school with inadequate and overly worn shoes. Their shoes are too small with holes in them. We have students who come to school with duck taped shoes and without shoe laces. We also have students coming to school wearing flip flops in the middle of winter. Unfortunately, many of our students walk to and from school everyday with inappropriate and outdated footwear which affects their ability to focus on their academic successes. Your donation will help tremendously support our children physically and emotionally. Academically they will be able to focus on learning instead of worrying about the soreness and condition of their feet. I have had many students come to me crying because their feet hurts due to their shoes being to small for their feet and causing sores to where it is difficult to walk. Help is greatly needed & appreciated!
