Kindergarten students need examples, modeling, practicing and sharing all day long in every subject area. We complete so many activities in whole group and they learn from each other as much as they do from the teachers. We would use our new Elmo for explaining directions and modeling examples, sharing student work with their classmates, for shared writing activities, for our Fundations lessons, and to introduce new sight words. It would also be used to learn and practice new reading strategies, to learn how to be good writers, to learn how to retell a story using our retelling hand, and to make learning fun.
