The children will have materials to explore and learn how to grow things they can eat that are important for a healthy diet. The garden kits are for them to plant together as a family. The children will have the sketch pads and pencils to draw their pictures during the project. The garden tools are safe, made for children to use and just the right size. Gardening can be a fun, healthy, learning activity for the whole family. The children have enjoyed what we have planted in the classroom so far. Planting teaches patience and careful watchfulness. The children learn teamwork, math skills, following directions, and literacy when doing a garden project.
