We currently have very old chairs in the music classroom. These chairs are designed for lounging. Because of the poor design of these chairs, students are not able to sit upright to breathe correctly while singing or playing their instrument. These chairs do not allow our musicians to reach their potential. By purchasing music chairs for the music classroom, the classroom will be furnished for student success. Our students will no longer have to "fight against" the chairs they sit in to make a beautiful sound on their instrument or voice. Music chairs will also look professional at our performances. Our current chairs create a casual and informal environment at our concerts. Forty black music chairs will give a much more unified and professional appearance for our music program.
