Pre-K is the foundation of a child's love of learning. My students love creating and exploring. These materials will give my students plenty of opportunities to learn by touching, exploring, learning, and sharing. Small group instruction is a priority in my school. We begin each day working in pairs in our STEM/fine motor center. I would include the Magnetic Designers, Magnetic letter builders, Create & Design Drill Kit, Turn & Learn Magnetic Gears, and Create-A- Path Magnetic Center to this center along with the nuts and bolts from the Manipulative Library. Science in Pre-K is hands on exploration where we would include the Color Paddle Sets, the Magnetic Wands, and Magna-Tiles in different units. The See-inside Magnetic Blocks, Blocks & Blueprint Learning Center, and Slot-A-Shape(Manipulative Library) would be awesome in our math center. Students would be able to construct complex objects by using the Star Builders, Pip Builders, Waffle Blocks, Design Builders, Gear Builders, and Stretch Builders from the Manipulative Library in our Construction Center. Although I have outlined specific place to include the items, many of them could be used interchanged in different centers. My class would have plenty of opportunities for guided and unguided exploration to aid in their independence and love of learning. I can imagine the excitement on their face when accomplishing a task! My students will have the flexibility to create and recreate again and again while working on hand-eye coordination and socialization skills.
