These ipads will give my students access to technology and apps that they do not have at home. They will also be able to use apps to learn and stay engaged during the day. This will give them more time focused on their learning and not struggle so much in the learning process. They will use these ipads to increase their reading and math skills as well as social skills. This will impact them for the rest of their lives with having these valuable skills being taught at such a young age. The world around them is full of technology and even though my students are young they need this type of exposure. For example, most doctor's offices have ipads for check in. My students will need to how to operate when technology is required and there is no better time to begin that learning process then when they are young and learning time is optimal.
