We've all made a connection to a great song, or book, or movie that reaches out to us in a way that nothing else can. For lots of my kids who come from families of divorce, struggle with low self-esteem, or making long-lasting friendships--finding that relatable (in this case) book is something they need. There are so many themes and opportunities for in-depth discussions in this book that I've enjoyed exploring with other students over the years. Unfortunately, the district I currently work for just doesn't have the funds to help me buy the book. Please help fund my need for a class set (40) of Matt de la Pena's book Mexican WhiteBoy.
