I would like to have my students fall back into the regular pattern of reading. Picking up a book and when they have finished classwork and loving it so much, they will ask if they can check it out. I use vibrant markers to capture student attention when I put assignments on the board as well as the weekly agenda. The first thing students see when they walk into my classroom are the bright colors on the board and they stop and read it and may say, "We have a busy week in class. I tend to say yes we do. The vibrant colors I have been told assignments seem more interesting, than the basic colors.
