These sketchbooks will give students a safe and personal place to explore art ideas, their feelings, and experiences that contribute to art concepts and practice new art skills. They will use these each day to start off our class time together either by journaling or by sketching depending on what they need that day. We will also use these to help collect thoughts about our long-term projects in Art Foundations and Painting I. The students benefit greatly from having something they can take home and to school easily to contain those drafts and thoughts.
