Our classroom is in need of some fun math and reading materials! Our school district has recently purchased a new curriculum in reading and math. The curriculums are great but there are many holes in the curriculum that need to be filled. We need the books Malala's Magic Pencil, Little Leaders: Bold Women in Black History, and Bad Girls Throughout History Making reading and math more interactive is the goal so with materials like the Plickers Student Cards, I will be able to create survey questions and poll students to see how much they have learned from the lesson I taught. We do rotation stations in math but we are in desperate need of new games and more engaging materials to keep students excited and encouraged in math. I'm asking for VersaTiles, Trouble and Candy Land games, and giant playing cards. I also need an X-ACTO electric pencil sharpener, dry erase student boards, and Expo dry erase markers. All of the things in this project will not only support student’s growth but also advance their critical thinking skills.
