Firstly, I want to again say thank you for contributing to our classroom and supporting our students and their needs - this goes a long way and I am extremely grateful for your generosity. Little things, such as tissue boxes and pencils help maintain basic needs for my students so that we can easily move throughout our school day. The snacks provided help students reset and are also used for celebrations in the classroom, such as birthdays. These are little details that help foster a sense of community and keep students engaged and active in their classroom. \r\n\r\nThe students are also thrilled by the upgrade that our \"cool down corner\" has seen - I was able to purchase a comfortable carpet that students can sit and read on during a break rather than the old desk that they previously sat at. This \"cool down corner\" helps students check in with their emotions and understand when they need to take a break and calm down. It truly has impacted the ability for students to engage in our school wide assemblies, performances, and guest/community-led performances. The speakers have amplified the sound level so that students, educators, and family/community members that attend our events are able to hear no matter where they sit in our lunchroom or gym. They can hear the important messages clearly during our assemblies. They hear the students' singing, poetry, or literary work. They hear the words in the story being carried out through live performances of song and/or dialogue. The microphones have given students confidence to perform to the best of their abilities and to overcome their initial hesitancy to be on stage. Audience members are reacting to what is being said through the microphones and providing that additional boost of confidence to the students on stage!\r\n\r\nYour donations to purchase all of this equipment not only created an experience where students can \"get loud\" and be heard at our assemblies, events, and performances, it also created a school environment where student and community voices could be heard and amplified. Students, educators, families, and community members are engaging more in shared discussions about their experiences. Whether they are talking about the actual performance and student skill levels or having a deeper conversation around the messages being shared through assemblies, your impact is that you have opened the door to more confidence, shared community engagement, and an expectation that we will celebrate and hear every voice.","fullyFundedDate":1742861425710,"projectUrl":"project/lets-get-loud/9065117/","projectTitle":"Let's Get LOUD!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Garcia-Andresen","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp924103_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1548102043717","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/annabel-garciaa"},{"teacherId":1066184,"projectId":9058294,"letterContent":"I want to extend a heartfelt thank you for your generous donation of six book display stands to our school library. They noticed right away that this was a new cubby for our blocks and other toys and were eager to help us open and close it. Their pride in being a helper shone brightly through the looks of accomplishment and in their triumphant smiles!\r\n\r\nOur students will continue learning through this storage unit by helping us choose related items to go into each cubby, drawing labels and labeling each cubby, and finding new ways to organize items.
