I am requesting a number of different resources that will help the students and teachers throughout the reading and writing workshop. These incredibly valuable tools will be used by students on a daily basis. My students are so excited to read good books and to figure out ways to share these great books with others. Without a doubt, my eager fourth graders will be motivated to read when they get their hands on these wonderful books! Additionally, the bins will help us to organize ALL of our classroom books in a meaningful way so that students can locate "just right" books. In writing, our classroom could use some more materials so that students can independently access the tools they need to be successful writers, revisers, and editors. Throughout the workshop model, students LOVE to write and I enjoy watching their stamina and motivation continue from one unit to the next. These pens, papers, sticky notes, and organizational tools will be essential to helping to continue to inspire my class of writers.
