My classroom library is the most important part of my room. The books that I am requesting were carefully selected to give students more choice in their reading. The books include on and above level choices aimed to support readers as they progress through first grade. I choose books requested by students that also adhere to my reading goals for them. We need a class library collection for them to feel confident in reading on their own and to have books that go along with my plans for each of them during guided reading. Nonfiction and fiction books of different varieties will provide my student the opportunity to open their horizon to what the world has to offer and continue to inspire their love of learning and reading as well as keep up the curiosity and engagement. Please support us, as we reach new reading goals!
