My students are amazing! This year I have emphasized fun in the math classroom! Students are able to work together at our new whiteboard table, stand up at adjustable tables and even ride bikes during class time! I am incredibly appreciative of the support we have received through donors choose to change the way I teach. My students qualify for free and reduced lunch programs as they live below the poverty line. Most are often some of the first students in their family to graduate high school and they work incredibly hard every day. Some students even go straight from school to babysit siblings or work a job to help make ends meet for their families. These students go above and beyond every single day they enter our school building and prove how smart and capable they are. As a math teacher, I work hard to help my students understand how important math is and I hope the grow to love it as much as I do.
