Our middle of the year NWEA test scores prove my students already have gained an amazing foundation for their math skills. It's no wonder my students love when it's time for Math! I'm looking to continue this growth with more hands-on activities to help them with their geometry, number sense, measurement and data skills, and operational thinking. Please help us keep this positive momentum going. Our afternoon math time includes whole-group instruction followed by small-group center work including working with the teacher and independent centers that involve hand on exploring of math work and manipulatives. However, our manipulatives are lacking and we could use more robust materials to keep my kindergarteners engaged and ready for higher learning. These materials will help them gain number sense, fluency and operation skills. The more we practice with these materials the more they'll grasp.
