My students and I have been enjoying the new resources every single day, and they've made a real difference in our learning environment.\r\n\r\nOne of the biggest changes came from the tennis balls for our chairs. Before, the scraping noise could be loud and distracting, but now, our room is noticeably quieter and calmer. The first day the students walked in and heard (or didn't hear!) the difference, they were thrilled. A few even said, \"It sounds like a new classroom!\"\r\n\r\nThe new green reading chairs and colorful stools have quickly become student favorites. The reading chairs have created a cozy spot where students are eager to settle in with a book, and the stools at my small group table have made our small group time feel special and inviting. I also added a small organizer near my desk and mini organizers for crayons, colored pencils, and markers, which are helping us stay neat and focused during lessons.\r\n\r\nA recent moment that really stood out was during our reading rotations: students were so excited to choose a green chair and dive into their books. The quieter room, the colorful seating, and the organized materials all came together to create a calm, joyful learning atmosphere.\r\n\r\nAs we continue our current lessons, these resources are helping students stay more engaged and take pride in their learning space. Our next steps involve diving deeper into our reading and writing units, and the improved classroom environment is already helping them stay focused and enthusiastic.\r\n\r\nThank you again for investing in our classroom. Your kindness has truly made a difference, and we're so grateful to have your support.","fullyFundedDate":1759322968331,"projectUrl":"project/build-a-cozy-reading-corner/9758069/","projectTitle":"Build a Cozy Reading Corner!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Ambrogio","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10278667"},{"teacherId":9987842,"projectId":9218570,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for making our new calm area happen. My students were extremely excited to see a private area in our room that they were able to use for some time with their own thoughts during the day. I saw many more students utilizing this area now that it provides some privacy. My students also love the cozy bean bag to relax and work in, it didn't quite fit in the tent, but did provide another nice cozy space to take a break at or do work in!\r\n\r\nI am looking forward to continuing to see students utilize this area and work on focusing on their mental heath and being mindful in it. As you can see from the pictures, I now have a TON of resources that I use with my students.\r\n\r\nThis week at my elementary school, my group (of 2nd grade boys) loved playing the Connect More game! It was a blast and a low-pressure way to have fun and get to know each other on a deeper level. The art supplies have come in handy at both the high school (Von Steuben) and the elementary school (Ebinger) where I work. My elementary students love having coloring tools to decompress during sessions; as do my high school students. \r\n\r\nOverall, I am now extremely well set in terms of social-emotional tools thanks to you and others who generously provided me with the tools I need to deliver service.
