Having heaters in our classroom will keep my students warm and healthy in these cold Chicago winter months. It is November and our students are currently wearing winter jackets to be able to sit through a lesson. This is extremely nerve-wrecking because our students have autism, seizure disorders, low body weight, etc. These various situations make sitting in the cold dangerous for SPED students. Heaters will help combat these cold winter months and help my students be able to learn and focus in a warm environment. Currently, our classroom has been reporting at 48° in November. I'm expecting it to only get chilly from December through March.
