I have been looking to get engaging and relevant books to my students. At my school, where students come from all backgrounds, the books we have on campus have not caught up. I am looking and have found "Crossover" as a book to really bring a diverse perspective that many students can relate too. By reading this book, we can have in depth conversations about identity, growing up in America, dealing with loss, and perseverance. My hope is that students see the value of reading interesting and novel books to bring insights into thier every day lives. Really looking forward to reading this book with my students.
