I created this DonorsChoose project so that all my 4th graders could have their very own recorder. They will learn how to read music as well as coordination. This will also be a starting point to help them continue their music education in band and high school. We take for granted that anyone can buy a recorder but not when your family is trying to get by. For a Title I school, even $5 for a recorder is not a top priority when you have bills and a family to feed. This project would allow all 4th graders to have their own and would carry across to 5th grade as well. Thank you so much for your assistance.
