I am proud 6th grade teacher to about 60 students who are truly amazing. They show up each day motivated to learn, despite all of the challenges they face outside the classroom. My school is located in the Bronx, NY where families live in poverty, come from broken homes, and face many other day-to-day challenges. My school is a Title I school, and many of my students are English Language Learners and have other educational modifications. Despite these challenges, my students show up each and every day ready to learn and have the best attitudes. My goal is to create a learning environment that keeps my students excited about coming to school, to prepare them to become lifelong learners, and to keep their positive outlooks on life. My students deserve the best, and I will do, and will continue to do MY best for them.
