Having the correct footwear will help to prevent injury and improve performance for my low income students. This fall I have seen more kids show up to practice with inadequate footwear than ever before. They slip and fall on the court because they don't have the right footwear. Having the correct shoes will allow us to play safely and without risk an increased risk of injury. Not only is the proper footwear needed for safety, but it will also give my athletes the confidence to feel that they belong on the court with anyone. We play in a few tournaments each year and see some of the suburban schools with head to toe brand new gear. My players deserve to be dressed like a team and to feel that they belong. These shoes will bring them confidence.
