My students come from many different backgrounds, which makes assessing their background knowledge of concepts and theories difficult. The Lemonade Wars would be a great lead into a project where students will create their own business and be asked to market and sell their products. These books will give my students an example of economics in action to set them up for success. Students will create a business modeled after the Lemonade Wars books and be asked to market it to other students at school. This will encourage students to think about abstract ideas and apply them to a real world situation.
