Room 102 is a high school life skills program for students with autism. In Room 102, we focus on capabilities rather than disabilities. Of course, the students have their struggles but what stands out the most is their curiosity, sense of adventure, and desire to achieve. Even though the autism can make communication difficult, they are always working hard to join and contribute to the the community. Learning in Room 102 is based on respect, cooperation, and adventure. Recently, we put together an outdoor classroom in a large garden area. We spend time every day in the garden. The students enjoy the peace and calm of the garden and have recently been planting vegetables for their families.
