My first graders are eager learners that love school! When a new school was built in their community, and neighborhoods were rezoned,they had to leave behind the only school they'd known for a new one. As students in the first LEED certified school in the state, they would make their mark as "green" students. My students are learning to respect their environment and be global citizens. My students have adapted well to to their new school and to the new staff. Many of them read above grade-level and come with a lot of prior knowledge. My students are very cooperative and work well with one another. They each have a classroom job and help to make our classroom environment dynamic!
