My third grade students are energetic, curious, and excited to come to school everyday. Our classroom is a calm inviting environment that embraces the love of reading and learning. There is a lot that goes into setting up a room and the perfect space for students to grow. Unfortunately, we don't have a reading nook for the students to sit and relax while they enjoy a good book during ELA, centers, and independent reading time. I know they will definitely enjoy relaxing as they cuddle with a book and sit in a spot all of their own away from their desks to read. I believe having a comfortable and cozy spot will encourage even my low readers to drift away into a good book and read.
