We are a diverse classroom community of 27 students with many different backgrounds and family histories. We come together from many different places, to learn, to work and to play every day. Our school is a title 1 school with 100% of our students qualifying for free/reduced lunch. Our families value education, are involved in school activities and love their children. Many of our children come from immigrant families who, in our current political climate, feel afraid to venture too far from home and have limited resources for childhood experiences so many of us take for granted. We are in Oakland Unified School District, currently facing a budget crisis district wide. Our needs are many and we are grateful for any little bit you can do to bring learning experiences to life in our classroom.
