We need a listening center. My students will be able to listen to stories during learning station time. They are always eager to hear a new story being told. A lot of the students within my classroom are not read to at home so their only exposure to stories is here within our classroom. This listening center will help my students love story time and will make them eager to begin learning to read as well. Reading is part of each subject so it is important for students to enjoy it. This listening center will open up the door for all students, so they can see how books can guide their imagination.
