My students need basic school supplies to get the year started. I want to make my students feel as comfortable as I can while they come back to school. We use two binders in my classroom, one for homework and one for testing storage. We also have them keep basic supplies in their pencil holders to use while completing work outside of school. Some of my students do not have these materials, like pencils, glue sticks, and scissors, and I would like to be able to provide them to those who need them. A student who has all the tools he/she needs will be more successful than those who feel unprepared. I want all of my students to be successful socially, emotionally, and intellectually this year and I believe these materials will help them in these areas.
