These books will be used to supplement our language arts units. Students will have the opportunity to read books similar to our anchor texts which are used to model in a whole class setting. The variety of texts accessible to my students will help them unpack the themes we work on throughout the school year. Our themes in third grade include Overcoming Learning Challenges, Adaptations and the Wide World of Frogs, Exploring Literary Classics, and Water Around the World. My students are enthusiastic about finding books that are connected to our units. They constantly want to share their own discoveries with each other.
