A large rug with colorful sections will provide a nice learning space for math warm-ups, discussions, literacy mini-lessons, shared reading, partner work, and accountable talk. This rug has designated areas which allows for each student to enjoy his or her own space. The rug will enable students to efficiently work with partners, in small-groups, and in a whole class setting. This large rug will be a meeting space in our classroom to gather for instruction and make connections and to create a community of learners. My students deserve to have their own individual space while learning with others. Your support will help ensure that our students feel they have their own special space in the classroom where they will enjoy learning.
