You might be starting your day with a morning meeting, gathering for a mini-lesson, or even having a movement break - a carpeted area is a versatile designated space where all of this and more can occur. Being physically comfortable is a necessary component in active collaboration, discussion, and decision-making. Your donation will greatly help with creating a warm classroom climate where students feel a sense of belonging and community. When students feel safe, they are more likely to stay focused and take risks with their learning and social interactions. This climate is difficult to cultivate when a cold hard tile floor subconsciously communicates the opposite. I am requesting for a carpet for our classroom.
