This is my first year teaching 1st grade. I currently only have a few books that are on a first grade level and that are high interest to my students. It has only been a few weeks of school and I have had a few students who have said they can't find a book that they are interested in reading. Through high interest books my students will develop a lifelong love for reading. They will become voracious readers this year and will be able to discover new worlds through the books that they read. Their lives will be changed through the books they read. I am requesting First Grade reading libraries as well as Alphabet Sounds Teaching Tubs.
